To facilitate access to a Master's degree by students with qualifications from foreign universities, the University of Lausanne make available approximately ten grants are awarded on a competitive teacher.
Program concerned
Candidates must choose from among them the Master's program offered by UNIL, except the Master of Medicine. The grant may not be used for complementary studies are required to enroll in a Master's degree and can not be used for EMBAs or Master Advanced Study.
The number and duration of the grant
Number of grant of CHF 1600 .- per month from 15 September to 15 July, for the duration of which does not exceed the minimum period of regulatory programs (in accordance with the program, one-and-half years or two years subject to deductions for paid placements or exempt the semester, if there). The abandonment results in the suspension of the grant program.
Necessary conditions
Candidates must be holders of a degree from a foreign university.
Qualifications held by candidates should be considered equivalent to a Bachelor's UNIL.
Selection Procedure
Candidates complete the "Grant UNIL Master" form and submit their applications to the Office of the socio-cultural affairs (SASC, Unicentre, University of Lausanne, CH-1015 Lausanne, info.sasc @ unil.ch) by December 15, 2011 at the latest. This application is examined by the University's rector to determine whether the candidate is acceptable. In the case of positive decision, the application is forwarded by the Faculty UNIL SASC is responsible for the Master's candidate desires to enroll. Faculty choose the application and notify SASC opinion based on candidate quality, motivation and suitability for the Master's program. The next SASC selected applications to the selection committee that will award grants to students to meet all the criteria in accordance with the available budget.
The decision is not open to appeal.
Criteria for selection
Grant funding is intended primarily for students who distinguished themselves in their studies at university and are having difficulty meeting their financial needs for the duration of the Master. Nevertheless it is necessary that the candidate has sufficient financial means to support themselves during complementary studies that may be required before enrolling in a Master's degree.
The application deadline for fall semester 2012 or spring 2013 semesters
Applications should reach the Socio-Cultural Affairs Office prior to December 15, 2011.
