International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPR) and Scholarships for International Research Fee (SIRFs)

Applications are invited from suitable qualified international students for scholarships to do a Master Research or Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Western Australia. Scholarship applications is also an application for admission to the University.
The purpose of the IPR and the UWA SIRF scheme is to attract the best quality of international graduate students to areas in which the University has specialized research strengths and to support Australia's research effort. Successful applicants can expect to become a member of a team of researchers working under the direction of senior researchers and in an area that has attracted external resources.
This scholarship covers tuition for up to four International (4) years, as well as Overseas Student Health Cover. Successful applicants may also be awarded a full scholarship living allowance.
Available in round IPR applications / SiRF second for 2012. Applications will be considered after the closing date. Scholarships can be started from July 1, 2012.

Applications for international postgraduate research scholarship at UWA assessed in accordance with the following criteria: (a) academic achievement, (b) achievement of English, (c) Research training achievement, and (d) the proposed research environment.
Allocation of scholarships is the result of a competitive ranking and selection process in which applications are assessed and ranked by the School, Faculty and University Scholarship Committee, according to common criteria and based on the evidence provided.
