Details of this scholarship: Description Inaugurated in 1993, the Bruce Kirkwood Memorial Scholarship offers a university scholarship to an electrical engineering student at either the Curtin University of Technology or the University of Western Australia. The annual scholarship encourages studies in the field of electric power engineering. Duration and Value Duration: 3.0 years Annual value: $A 6,500.00 Total value: $A 19,500.00 Extra Details: The scholarship is currently valued at $6,500 per year, paid for the remaining duration of the degree course. Vacation employment is offered at the end of the first year of the scholarship. The scholar is not bound to work for Western Power on attaining their degree but is encouraged to do so. Important Dates Application closing date: August Eligibility criteria General information The scholarship is open to fulltime students currently enrolled in their first year of a Bachelor of Engineering course or a combined degree course that includes electrical power engineering. Selection is based on: academic performance? expressed interest in electric power engineering and the industry? work or practical experience? evidence of teamwork, leadership, community/university involvement? eligibility to work in Australia? and references.
