Description The grant is intended to enhance original postgraduate research by university women from low income countries. Grants are awarded for specialized training, independent research, or to assist in the completion of a postgraduate degree. The federation or association will then forward applications of finalists on to IFUW by 1 October. Closing dates for national headquarters usually vary between August and mid-September. Duration and Value Extra Details: The grant is valued from 3,000 to 6,000 Swiss francs. Important Dates Application closing date: 1 October Eligibility criteria General information Applicants must: be female graduates? be members of an IFUW national federation or association, or be IFUW Independent Members? have completed the first year of a doctoral degree? be from a country with a low per capita income, or be undertaking research of value to low income countries? have been accepted for admission to the institute that the work will be carried out? be undertaking at least 2 months of study at the proposed institution? and not be residents of the proposed country of study.
