Project title: Synthesis of solution processable organic semiconducting liquid crystalline and functionalization of carbon nanotubes with thermotropic liquid crystal

A vacancy for a graduate research assistant to work under the project ‘Synthesis of solution processable organic semiconducting liquid crystalline and functionalization of carbon nanotubes with thermotropic liquid crystal’ funded by Malaysia Ministry of Higher Education is available for application.
Objectives:
1. To synthesis new liquid crystalline solution processable organic semiconductors
2. To synthesis liquid crystal-functionalized carbon nanotubes

Requirements:
-Candidate must possess a Master degree in Chemistry/ Organic Synthesis/Material Science/related field with undergraduate CGPA > 3.0
-Successful applicant is required to register for PhD within 3 months of the research assistantship.
-Good laboratory skills, hardworking, willing to learn new things, passion in liquid crystal research.

Salary: MYR 1,500-2,000 per month for a duration of three years on an annual renewal basis.
