The Ancora-Khazanah Scholarship in Asia is a collaboration between the Foundation and the Foundation Ancora Khazanah to enable Indonesia to extend the four-year undergraduate education at leading universities of Malaysia.
This program supports the purpose of Khazanah Foundation to develop future business and industry leaders in the region. Further provided the means to Khazanah and the group of companies to contribute to the social development of countries that have operational importance, especially Indonesia.
It seeks candidates with good academic records and the stiffness of extra curricular activities. This is a very competitive process. In 2009, five candidates were selected from areas of approximately 500 applicants. They have a number of universities to choose from. These include the National Energy University, Multimedia University, International Islamic University Malaysia, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Malaya and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
Selection Criteria
Applicants must be
not exceeding 21 years;
Public School has completed three (SMU3) and obtain a minimum of 8.0 points for each subject in the National Final Test or received at least 3As & 1B for A-level or a minimum CGPA of 3.50/4.00 or 'A' class average or equivalent to the pre-university or matriculation;
shows the order English skills, and
demonstrate strong leadership skills and active participation in extra-curricular activities, social or voluntary.
2012 Recruitment and Selection
Registration for the 2012 intake (Academic Year 2012-2013) is open. Potential candidates should download the registration form and a short description and registration procedures for the program (in Bahasa Indonesia).
Please return the completed registration form and other required documents at the latest 25 November 2011.
Terms and Conditions
Each federation is maintained for four-year degree program in one of the selected Malaysian universities. The successful candidate will be expected to settle / defend his studies in the period.
Each scholarship covers the following:
Lectures and other compulsory fees (as determined by Malaysian universities, respectively);
Cost of living, and
Return air ticket (economy class)
