Scholarship undergraduate degree in one of five programs JMC Academy follows:

Audio Engineering and Sound Production
Digital Film and Television Production
Digital Media and 3D Animation
Popular Music and Performance
Entertainment Business Management

JMC Academy offers a five (5) full-year undergraduate scholarships for the Academic year 2012.

* This scholarship covers tuition fees for first academic year of study in one of five JMC Academy's Bachelor's degree. This first year is also commensurate with a full one-year Diploma program. Undergraduate scholarships open to both Australian and International students.

Requirements
To be considered for this scholarship is very competitive:

You may be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
Requirements for foreign students is based on the successful application for a student visa. This visa must be processed and completed four weeks prior to the commencement of the course.
You will need to have a test score or equivalent Atar 65.00 or above with supporting evidence of relevant work experience or a portfolio of work samples.
You must complete 12 of Australia, the International Baccalaureate in 2011 or overseas equivalent.
You must attend an interview at the local campus scholarship application you JMC Academy. A performance-based auditions will also be required for students who wish to apply for Popular Music Performance and Scholarship.
You must meet the prerequisites for your course of study nominated.
You do not have to have all previous studies conducted at tertiary level including TAFE and extension studies undertaken as part of program 12th Year.
Continuation of scholarship is subject to satisfactory academic achievement by maintaining a minimum credit average.

To be considered for high-profile scholarship award, applicants must show:

Demonstrate willingness and ability to perform full-time study
Show interest in pursuing a career in the music entertainment industry and technology.
Willingness to advocate for benefits and services from JMC Academy to the public as described in the information JMC Academy Ambassador Program. (The program will be discussed during the interview).
Matures.
Common sense.
Clear and compelling personal presentation skills.

The application process
The JMC Academy scholarships for undergraduate students began studies in 2012 round is now open and will close Friday, December 9, 2011 with notification of the final results submitted by January 29, 2012.

To apply, ask your Career Advisor for a copy of the scholarship application form, or contact the Student Recruitment and Admission. Direct email inquiries can be made in sydney@jmc.edu.au, melbourne@jmc.edu.au or brisbane@jmc.edu.au. An application package will then be forwarded directly to you.

All scholarship applications must include:

A completed scholarship application form and the public.
One reference letter of recommendation from the Career Counselor, Head High School, High School Music Teacher or the International Student Agencies.
A portfolio that contains the appropriate documentation, sample student work, employer's letter or any other piece of information that you think positively can support your application. Portfolio should contain a copy of the color and NOT the original document. Portfolio remain the property of JMC Academy.

To complete your application and qualify for the scholarship award, on the portfolio and documentation (sent to the campus by 17:00 Friday, December 9, 2011) should be followed by submission of copies of Atar or student test scores equivalent to Friday, January 6, 2012.

Conditions of scholarship awards

This award covers tuition fees equivalent to one academic year at the Academy of JMC
This award may not be redeemed for cash or other monetary exchange
This award does not include books, software, consumables, stationery, accommodation, or a student registration fee.

Selection

Selection is based on a combination of academic ability as demonstrated by a score of 65.00 Atar or equivalent, and interviews with the JMC Academy Head or nominated representative from the Department for study and management JMC Academy members. Applications for Popular Music Performance and Scholarship auditions will also require a performance-based in conjunction with the interview. Further details are described in the application form.
Selection was based on interview performance and weighted scores on the quality of work samples displayed and / or demonstrated work experience in fields directly related to the chosen program of study.
Applicant's financial status or personal circumstances will not be considered in any way in the evaluation process.
Applicant will be responsible for ensuring that academic results are given to the JMC Academy in their release order to be considered for the scholarship.
JMC Academy reserves the right to not offer any scholarships available and to set a maximum limit available for any scholarships or in the course of one single faculty.

Offer

Near 5:00 Friday, December 9, 2011 Application.
Short listed applicants will be notified by December 30, 2011 in order to attend the interview in January 2012.
Students who have attended the interview, then asked to submit copies of their Atar or equivalent test score Friday, January 6, 2012, or perhaps bring a copy with them for an interview.
Successful applicants will be notified of their scholarship awards in the week ending January 29, 2012.
If you are a successful award-winning Scholarship, you must confirm your ability to accept the award with the acceptance of the terms and conditions (those described in the eligibility criteria above and as contained in the JMC Academy Student Handbook (published in the interview) via email or letter by Friday, February 3, 2012 17:00.
In the event that your scholarship application is not successful, please Recruitment Admission and if you want to proceed with the registration routine as soon as possible.

Suspension

If you need to defer your scholarship, you must first confirm that the suspension was allowed in your course.
You will only be allowed to defer your scholarship if you are allowed to defer your course place.
If you are approved to defer your course place, you must first receive a scholarship offer before you submit a request to postpone the start date of your scholarship for one year.
Scholarships can only have a maximum one-year deferral period.

Loss of Scholarships
Scholarships may be canceled in the opinion of management and faculty JMC Academy, if the holder of the scholarship award;

Failed to comply with the rules of conduct outlined on page three of the JMC Academy student handbook
Failed their exams without good reason
Resigned from their scholarship or study did not proceed at JMC Academy
Violation of rules and conditions outlined in our Terms of scholarship acceptance criteria.
