Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI), University of Adelaide, Australia

The University of Adelaide offers a scholarships scheme for international students who graduate research studies. The aim is to attract high quality graduate students abroad to areas of research strength at the University of Adelaide to support research efforts. The selection for scholarships is very competitive.

A number of scholarships breastfeeding may not be available in mid-year scholarships for semester 2, 2012 for outstanding international students from any country doing postgraduate research in any academic discipline.

ASI provides:

Of course the cost of tuition for two years for Research Masters degree and three years for Doctoral degree studies (extension is possible for doctoral programs only);
The annual living allowance of about $ 23,728 (2012 value) for the normal duration of the program; and
If the award holder holding a subclass 574 visa fee award includes a standard mandatory Student Health Cover Overseas (OSHC) Worldcare policy for students and their spouses and dependents (if any) for the award period. If the award holder does not have a subclass 574 visa then he / she is responsible for the cost of health insurance.

Scholarship does NOT cover the cost of visa application.

Applicants must hold at least the equivalent of First Class Honours degree Australia. This is a four-year degree with a major research project in years. Other criteria to be considered is the performance of undergraduate, graduate and award and scholarship awards, other postgraduate degrees, publications in refereed international journals, conference papers and presentation of relevant industry experience.

Applications for these scholarships are always very competitive. ASI is generally the recipient has completed a Master's degree including a significant research component and has several publications and relevant work and research experience.

Condition

ASI Scholarship will be awarded strictly based on academic achievement. Extra-curricular achievements will not be considered.
Citizens and Permanent Residents of Australia, and New Zealand citizens who are not eligible.
They conduct research via remote candidature are not eligible.
International applicants are not eligible for milk if they have started the level they are looking for an award, unless they can prove that they can not apply for ASI in the last round of the previous calendar year.
International applicants who have not provided evidence of their English language proficiency requirements by the closing date are not eligible for an ASI.
International applicants do not have to hold a research qualification deemed equivalent by the University of Adelaide with the Australian Research Doctorate degree or, if doing a Master Research, the research does not have qualifications deemed by the University of Adelaide equal or higher than the Australian Research Masters degree.
Candidates are required to enroll at the University of Adelaide as 'international students and must maintain a status of' international students during their enrollment in the University.
Scholarship holders must begin studies at The University of Adelaide in semester 2, 2012. There is no milk can be started after 30 November 2012.
Scholarship winners will not be allowed to delay the start until 2013.
Applicants who applied in previous rounds of the international scholarship are not eligible to apply again.
ASI scholarship offer is contingent on the student is not offered another award by the Commonwealth of Australia, University of Adelaide, or sponsor overseas. University reserves the right to withdraw a scholarship offer at any time prior to enrollment if it is recommended that recipients have been offered a scholarship equal to or more than the financial rewards offered by the University

Closing Date: May 1, 2012. We strongly recommend that all applicants submit their application and all required documents well before the closing date. Complete application to the scholarship application deadline will not be considered for scholarships.

Applicants will be notified in late June 2012 about the results of their scholarship application
