Students who successfully follow the program's first year at Ghent University Master Grants may have a higher chance of selection;
There is no strict age limit, although the applicant under 40 years are preferred;

The selection criterium IMPORTANT: Proof of relationship with UGent: Indicates that the university of your studies, your current employer or future relationship with the University of Ghent (former or current). For example: staff exchanges, research projects, publications, etc.
For the University of Ghent is important that for the type of grant you are applying, the students will return to their home countries on their studies and add an international network of UGent in developing countries. Therefore as a prerequisite we ask you to be able to demonstrate that the university you study, your current or future employer you have a former or current relationship with the UGent. This is an asset if it is in your field of study, but if there is already cooperation in other fields, it is also good.
