Studies and Research at Dongguk University (SRD) with Full Scholarship
This scholarship is offered to foreign students selected for graduate programs in the Faculty of Engineering, Dongguk University, with the package as follows:

Benefits: Exemption from fees and tuition fees (Entrance Fee, SPP) during Graduate program overall.
Master's programs: tuition for 4 semesters override
Ph.D. Program: tuition for 6 semesters override
Combined Master's and Ph.D. programs Program: tuition for 8 semesters override
Support cost of living
Master's program (for 4 semesters): ₩ 300,000 / month
Ph.D. Program (for 6 semesters): ₩ 500,000 / month
Combined Master's and Ph.D. programs Program (for 8 semesters): 300,000 KRW / month (semester 1 ~ semesters 3), 500,000 KRW / month (~ 4 semesters 8 semesters)
Korean language classes are offered for 6 months without charge tuition
He or She must meet the following to maintain the scholarship after the award is made:
Working as a research assistant for any laboratory or research institute of Dongguk University.
Publish one or more papers as first author in SCI journals in addition to SRD Ph.D. doctoral dissertation Program
Submit one or more papers as an author in prestigious international journals in Korea or side to SRD MSProgram Master's thesis. The amount of paper can be different depending on the student supervisor or the department's student
Should reach more than 3.5 of the GPA in each semester. Student Activity Fee: From the second semester, all students must pay a student activity fee SRD (about 80,000 ~ 100,000 KW) per semester

SRD program is scheduled to enroll approximately 20 ~ 30 students each year in every major department across campus. Award decisions are made by evaluating the applicant's academic achievement ', potential, personal accomplishments.Records previous studies, study plans, Personal statement, a letter of recommendation and other records of achievement are all considered.

The original documents are required with a copy of the Korean visa you must arrive at the Office of Administration, Faculty of Engineering, Dongguk University in the mail.
Applicants must have already submitted the required documents via email.

Documents required
Please, register online during 11/17/2011 ~ 02/12/2011. If not, the information on-line application will be deleted.

1) Form 1: Application Form
Form1 contains your personal information. Please enter all the information required for each step of the application on-line. This form must be in ENGLISH CAPITAL LETTERS and correct information.

2) Form 2: Plan of Study
The plan must state the purpose of academic study and personal statement. Include family background, academic performance and achievement, work experience and your reasons for applying SRD program.

3) Form 3: Letter of Recommendation
One recommendation for the Master's program, programs, and two recommendations to the Joint Ph.D. program of teacher or professor is required. Complete your part of this form and give it to recommenders who know you well. Be sure to give them enough time to complete the registration form before the deadline. Letter of Recommendation must be sealed in an envelope when you send originals by post mail.

4) Form 4: Letter of Approval
Letter of approval must be completed with your signature.

5) Documents Official Academic Transcript and Certificate of Completion

For Teachers and Combined Master's and Ph.D. programs:

Official Certificate of Graduation Degree and Bachelor Academic Transcript

For Ph.D. program:

Official Certificate of Graduation Bachelors and Masters.
Official Transcript of Academic Bachelor's and Master's

Note: if you are currently enrolled in the program (for Ph.D.) undergraduate or graduate, you must submit an official document showing the date you expect graduation certificate.

6) A copy of the passport applicant

7) Copies of both parents 'passports (or other documents indicating parents' nationality)

8) Official documents showing parent-child relationship between the applicant and / her parents

(Birth Certificate - Must be Translated in English)

9) Mandatory: Report of Official English Proficiency

Applicants must submit a score report from a recognized English language proficiency (TOEIC, TOEFL, TEPS and IELTS).
We only accept the Official Reports English Proficiency and scores must be received after March, 2010.

Note 2. Applicants who do not have the ability to speak English the official report (TOEIC, TOEFL, and IELTS TEPS) can not be implemented in compliance with the Korean Ministry of Education.

Applicant Qualifications

Foreign students whose parents are both foreigners are eligible to apply.
Applicants must have received their entire elementary, junior high school and undergraduate education outside Korea and holds a bachelor's degree and is considered by the admissions committee will be degree candidates from school or related techniques.
GPA of 70 or higher (on a scale of 100 points) or 40% of the top places in the work program required for the program. Applicants who achieve a GPA of less than 70 in their last educational will be disqualified for the scholarship.
Language Ability (Official Language Proficiency Report is compulsory to apply. If you do not have any of the following, you can not apply)
English: TOEFL PBT 550, CBT 210, IBT 80, 700 TOEIC, TEPS 550, IELTS 5.5

Application Instructions

Examination of documents.
Those who pass the examination of documents and registered in the Graduate School must enter Korea before the opening of the course.

Acceptance decisions are based on academic achievement potential.
The admissions committee reviews a number of factors: Note past studies (such as GPA), study plan, personal statement and letters of recommendation. Other achievement records and specific qualifications such as language proficiency are also considered.

Graduation Requirements Graduate students

Registration Period
Students must complete at least two years (four semesters) of Registration for the master's or Ph.D. programs and at least four years for the Joint Master and Ph.D. programs The program.

Credit Needed
Students must obtain 24 credits or more for the Master's program, 36 credits or more for a Ph.D. courses and 60 credits or more for Combined program. The student must score an overall GPA of 3.0 or above.

Thesis Submission of Qualification Exam
Students must pass the main program and foreign language tests in order to achieve qualification to submit their thesis.
