Sign in to Korea: from the date of August 27, 2012 until August 29, 2012
Orientation: International Language Institute of the school held an orientation meeting of August 30, 2012 until August 31, 2012
Korean language course: September 3, 2012
Application Requirements
Both the applicant and his / her parents must be citizens of foreign countries. Applicants can not have Korean citizenship.
Applicants must be in good health, both mentally and physically, to stay in Korea for a long period of time.
First: Applicants must submit a "Personal Health Assessment"
Next: Applicants must submit the "Official Medical Assessment" from the hospital when they graduate.
Final: Registration will be canceled if they are infected with HIV, drugs, serious illness or mental illness prior to their entry.
Must be under 40 years on 1 September 2012
Hold a Bachelor or Master degree on August 31, 2012
For Teachers program: students who hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent diploma or higher degree
For Doctoral program: students holding a Master's degree or equivalent diploma or higher than a Master's degree.
Applicants who enroll or already enrolled in the same academic program in Korea as one which they are applying will not be accepted. ? Applicants who expect adequate diplomas must provide their diploma by August 29, 2012 before entering.
Must have an average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or value / mark / score 80% or higher of the institution previously attended
If the class is difficult to convert to percentages, documents from the university attended the official explanation is needed.
Applicant who filed a certificate TOPIC, TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS will benefit in the screening document.
Applicants in the area of Engineering will have priority over other applicants when they are the same qualifications or point.
Special Note
Multiple recommendations by more than one organization can not be accepted.
Documents submitted will not be returned to candidates.
Documents must be presented in its original form. Documents not in English or Korean must be accompanied with English or Korean translation complete and accurate certified by the issuing agency.
If the details on the application form which is false or incorrect documents are made, admission will be canceled.
In terms of delivery documents must be copied, applicants must submit the original to the Korean embassy (consulate) and have two documents were collected. (Document prepared should be submitted at the back of the original document)
Applicants must be accurately filled out a health check on the truth. All successful applicants must take a medical examination in Korea (including HIV and TBPE drug test) in accordance with the requirements of the Korean Immigration and KGSP program.
The applicant may submit copies of published papers, if available.
The applicant may submit a copy of the award, if available.
Students are not allowed to transfer schools during the entire period of the program so he / she entered the school and students are not allowed to change the department after application.
Application Procedure (Screen Process)
Documentary screening. All documents, including transcripts, the introduction of self-study plan, the ability of language (Korean and English), recommendation, papers, awards, etc.
Campus Life (Residence Hall)
University dormitory. Priority will be given to foreign students. Two students share one room, which has tables, beds and cabinets. Internet is available in the room.
Housing costs: ~ USD $ 800 for six months (food not included)
Library. You can see books from university libraries after you get your university ID card.
The maximum number of books a graduate student can borrow: 20 books
period for the loan of books: 4 weeks
Kimchi (Korean Club International Members' at Hongik) members of kimchi help foreign students adjust to life at Hongik University by providing a range of voluntary services such as providing airport pick-up or acting as a friend.
Important Note
"KGSP Guidelines for Year 2012" will be notified in NIIED website in January 2012. Then this will inform the graduate school application guidelines were confirmed in this school's website.
