INFORMATION FOR APPLICATIONS
One of the full fee scholarships will be available.
CRITERIA REQUIREMENT:
This award is only available to applicants who are responsible for paying the cost of academic fees at the international level. British and EU candidates have applied for Home / EU award.
Applicants usually must hold at least a UK Upper Second Class Honours or equivalent plus MA or MSc at Merit level or equivalent;
Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the requirements of English Language University;
This award is open to individuals who have been awarded a PhD.
REGULATION
The award must be taken on October 1, 2012;
Awards are available for new students to do research full-time study during the three years leading to a PhD degree in the School of Politics and International Studies. Students who have registered for research degrees were excluded from this competition;
The award will cover academic fees at the international level. There is no additional allowance for travel expenses or research;
The award will be made during one year in the first instance, renewable for a period of up to two years subject to satisfactory progress;
applicants will be expected to demonstrate that they are seeking funding elsewhere
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Candidates must fill in all parts of the application form, using the space provided on the form and with the strict supervision of word boundaries. Appendix (with the exception of transcripts degrees) should be avoided. Selection panels will be free to ignore information that is not on the application form;
The completed form should be returned to polispg@leeds.ac.uk or the Office of Graduate Studies, Policy, University of Leeds, Leeds LS2 9JT no later than June 1, 2012. Applications submitted after that date may be subject to the availability of funds.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES & RESULTS
Successful candidates can expect to be notified about the outcome of their applications as soon as possible after the closing date.
The completed form should be returned to the Office of Policy polispg@leeds.ac.uk or Graduate Studies, University of Leeds, Leeds LS2 9JT later June 1, 2012. Please ensure that you use the space provided on the form - attachments are not permitted and all will be ignored. In order to be eligible to apply for a Postgraduate Research Scholarship at the Polis, the first applicants MUST submit a research degree studies in the application and receive caller ID BANNER University. Banner number of applications without a valid University ID will be rejected.
