How Can I Apply for the Scholarship?
Choose one of the six scholarship questions. Choose the question which most interests you, and which you would most like to research – we are looking for original thoughts and ideas.
Start your research. Think about employing a variety of research methods to ensure that your essay is fresh, original and thought-provoking. We expect you to conduct surveys, interviews, to research books, journals, magazines, newspapers. It is important to appropriately reference all sources you use during your research.
Write and submit your essay to us by the competition deadline, 31 May 2013, at 17:00 GMT. The essay should not exceed eight double-spaced pages in length.
What Are the Judges Looking for?
We are looking for a creative and research-based approach to your work. Any original research you do, such as contacting firms or the business community in general, will be rewarded in the assessment process.
You should reference your work appropriately and provide a full bibliography, listing the relevant sources. Your entry will be used to determine the short-list of candidates, who proceed to the second state of the competition – the presentations.
The presentations will allow us to assess your interpersonal skills and your ability to present yourself. In addition you will have the opportunity to tell us more about your research and findings.
How Do We Decide the Winners?
After the scholarship deadline, the Judges will choose the six best entries. The short-listed candidates will be invited to attend the EBS London International Scholarship Assessment Day on our campus in central London. This will be held in early July 2012. On the day you will:
