Doctoral Scholarships, University of Otago, New Zealand

The University of Otago Doctoral Scholarship provides funding to support doctoral students studying at the University of Otago.

Applicants must be:

* Obtaining their first doctoral qualification
* Domestic students or international students

Confirmation of the scholarship is dependent on approval to register as a doctoral candidate and completion of the enrollment procedure.

Value: NZ$20,000 stipend per annum plus domestic tuition fees waiver (excludes sundry fees and insurance)
Number offered: Varies
Closing date: Anytime for PhD/DMA applicants. 1 November for all other doctoral programmes

Selection is based predominantly on academic merit and the applicant’s potential for research.

These scholarships are also available for candidates for professional doctorates (DClinDent, EdD) who will be engaged in full-time thesis study in the year following application. Up-to-date application forms will be available from August 2011.
