CBS International Innovation Scholarships, Curtin University, Australia


CBS International Innovation Scholarships are available to students enrolling in their first year of an eligible CBS undergraduate degree at Curtin University in 2012 and who can demonstrate an understanding of their course of study and show insight and creative ideas relating to their future profession.

Application forms are required to be completed and the scholarship will be awarded on the basis of demonstrating innovation relating to the applicants’ future profession and by choosing to study an eligible undergraduate CBS degree at Curtin University in 2012.

ELIGIBLE BUSINESS SCHOOL COURSE AND MAJORS
Bachelor of Commerce with a major in one of the following:

Business Information Systems (Single Major)
Business Information Technology (Single Major)
Business Information Technology & Systems (Double Major)
Business Information Systems & Logistics & Supply Chain Management (Double Major)

Students enrolling in a double degree are not eligible to apply.

To remain eligible for the CBS Innovation Scholarship students must enrol and remain enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce with one of the above eligible majors.

Also Curtin Business School courses have a common first year, however to maintain eligibility for this Scholarship a student must enrol in Unit 310410 Systems Analysis and Design 251, in semester 1 of their second year of study. If this unit is not enrolled in and passed, the scholarship will be cancelled. If the student is eligible for an exemption from this unit, other unit(s) will be identified which the student must pass in 2013.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria to be considered for a Curtin Business School International Innovation Scholarship:

Be an international student and hold a valid Student Visa – Higher Education (Subclass 573)
Have received a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) into an eligible undergraduate business degree at Curtin University in 2012
Commencing the first semester of their first undergraduate degree at Curtin University in semester 1, 2012

Applicable to: Prospective Students
Value: The scholarship will provide a cash payment of $5,000 per year to assist with costs associated with studying (textbooks, incidental expenses etc) for the normal expected duration of the degree for which the scholarship was offered.

The scholarship(s) will be awarded by a selection panel using the following criteria:

Innovation statement
Academic merit
Responses on the application form
Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) in an eligible undergraduate business school degree at Curtin University, in 2012

Guidelines: All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in January 2012.
