Musicianship Scholarships, Musicians Institute, USA Musicianship Scholarships are available to new instrument and vocals students (both US and non-US citizens) enrolling in the Bachelor of Music, Associate of Arts, or Certificate in Performance Programs who demonstrate outstanding musicianship. A total of ten Musicianship Scholarships (two per instrument) are awarded for each new program start. The scholarship is applicable for students enrolled in performance (instrument and vocals) programs only, and may not be transferred to “non-performance program” emphases ( Audio Engineering, Music Business, Independent Artist, Guitar Craft, or Film) within an AA or Bachelor degree.
Eligibility
To be considered for a Musicianship Scholarship, you must submit a completed application including:
An essay explaining why you should be considered for the scholarship. 1 page essay describing yourself and why you should be considered as a candidate for this Scholarship. You may include your musical background, aspirations or any other factors that you consider relevant.
A video recording displaying your performing skills. Video requirements vary by program. VHS or DVD video which must contain at a minimum: two (2) songs in two (2) different styles in an ensemble setting and one (1) solo piece (a cappella piece for vocalists).
