Eligible candidates:
Criteria for approval are: (a) academic excellence, demonstrated by academic performance and can be confirmed by a letter of recommendation from university professors, (b) the contribution of education candidates in terms of strengthening the scientific capacity in the candidate countries of origin, (c) long-term perspective to the relationship between home institution and the University of Groningen
Additional criteria for PhD candidates: Applicants must be employed by a research institute of the university in one of the countries listed and receive income from the home institution, the application must be supported by this organization, the University of Groningen must be able to provide an academic supervisor who will be responsible for scientific oversight of research
Grant information:
The grant is usually awarded for a maximum of 2 years for Master's degree program.
The grant covers tuition fee plus the cost of international travel, subsistence, books, and health insurance. For specific information, please check the rules & regulations.

Deadline:
Applicants must meet deadlines Master's program. Form for the Master's program can be found through the website or the Admissions Office. The deadline for scholarship applications is February 22.
Application:
Applications for student scholarships may be submitted by students from one country eligible for a Master's or equivalent program at the University of Groningen.
Master's degree programs: Application Guide step-by-step
First the candidate must apply for admission to the program of study at the University of Groningen.
When a candidate applies for admission, he must demonstrate on the application form that his / her performance is very good study and that he / she wants to be nominated for the scholarship fund Bleumink Eric.
If the program of study agreed with the nomination for EBF scholarship, they will send a standard application form including the motivation of candidates for the Board Eric Bleumink Fund prior to March 1. Per studyprogramme only two candidates can be nominated.
Eric Bleumink Fund Board will make a decision during their meeting in March.
The studyprogramme and both candidates will be informed on the decisions taken by the Council.
If a candidate is selected candidates will have a coordinator and contact details of his or her arrival. If necessary he / she can contact Eric Bleumink Fund Board for additional assistance.
