Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Science (hereinafter referred to as "Siat"), offers eight Master's degree programs and two PhD degree programs for international students. The duration of the Master's program is 2-3 years, 3-6 years and PhD programs.

A degree certificate and graduation certificate will be given to those who have completed the specified courses and pass the thesis / dissertation defense.

All courses are offered in English.

Requirements
Applicants for the Master's program must:

have obtained a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution or equivalent qualification; and
Siat requirements on physical fitness to pursue a graduate program.

Applicants for the PhD degree program must:

normally have obtained a master's degree from a recognized institution, and
Siat requirements on physical fitness to pursue a graduate program.

Language Requirements:

Students enrolled in Siat can choose to take all courses and conduct research activities in English only, or in Chinese (Mandarin). Knowledge of Chinese not required. The application notes to TOEFL or IELTS (within two years from the date of inspection) is preferred.

Application Documents

Completed application form for Admission International Students. Photos hold on the application form must be identical to that in the passport.
Letters statement. Applicants to the PhD program must also submit a research proposal.
A certified or notarized copy of the certificate of title, certified or notarized copies of academic transcripts, and the original copy of the sealed official academic transcript. Notary translation into English or Chinese degree certificates and academic transcripts are also required, if they are in other languages ​​than English and Chinese.
Two letters of recommendation from academics at the level of associate professor or above. The letter should indicate the referee's phone number and email address.
Copy of the pages with personal information in the passport.

None of the above application documents will be returned.

Application Procedure

Step 1: Online application
All applicants are required to submit their prepared materials listed above 1-2 in an electronic format for grad@siat.ac.cn, with titles formatted "+ Country Code + + Program Supervisor Name". (For example "John + Thailand + 0101 Prof XYZ"). Program code can be found from section 3. List of Master's and PhD programs.

Step 2: Submission of Application Documents
The applicants are required to submit the original application documents listed above to the Office of Student Passed 1-5, Siat, via express mail.

Step 3: Review and Interview
Admissions committee will evaluate applications and a list of documents Siat applicants for further examination or interview. The selected applicants will be notified.

Step 4: Register
Siat will admit applicants who pass the examination or interview, and approved by the International Student Admissions Committee. Acceptance Notice, Visa Application Form for Study in China, and Foreign Physical Examination Record Form will be issued.

Scholarship
Siat will provide a number of scholarships to the applicants claim to cover their living expenses.

Bachelor 2,300.00

The applicant also apply for scholarships quarterly bonuses with a recommendation from their supervisor to work their excellent research. But the number of applicants recommended is limited.

Applications for the program can be made throughout the year.

Visa Application and Admission Registration
The students admitted must bring their passports, Notice Sign, Visa Application Form (JW202 / JW201), and the original Form Physical Examination Record Foreign and other original documents from a physical examination to the Embassy or Consulate of the People's Republic of China, and apply for student visas ( X visa). Students must come to the Office of Graduate Students for registration during the dates mentioned in the Notice of Acceptance. Students must use a private passport and visa and ordinary X, and must apply for a residence permit within 30 days after arrival in China.

Fees (in RMB Yuan)

Application Fee: free.
Tuition: acquitted.
Accidental Injury and Hospitalization Insurance: RMB 44 per month.
Accommodations: 400 RMB / month · bed for two rooms in student dormitories.
Lunch: 261 RMB per month in the cafeteria.
Transportation: Siat will reimburse the cost of a single means of transportation (NOT exceed 3000 RMB) when it comes to enrollment of students admitted. But they must provide proof of original documents such as train or plane tickets.
