International Fellowships Program
Association of University Women Japanese take pleasure in announcing the 2012 International Scholarship Program for women who do or want to conduct independent research or advanced study at post-graduate level in Japan.
Award period will be for 3-6 months in the period 15 September 2012 until March 31, 2013. Please read the Guidelines below before applying on the application form provided.
NUMBER OF FELLOWSHIP
500,000-1,000,000 yen per grantee. The amount given will vary depending on length of stay in Japan and the nature of the job. One third of this amount will be given to the recipient at the time of arrival in Japan.
AWARD PERIOD
For 3-6 months in the period 15 September 2012 until March 31, 2013.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Applicants must be citizens of a country other than Japan
* Applicants must hold an academic degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree
* Plan filed by the Applicant or research studies should be one that will advance the professional competence and the need to do in Japan
* Applicant must be accepted by Japanese institutions in which he proposed to undertake studies / research.
DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED MATERIALS &
* Application Form Appointee
* Three letters of recommendation written by people familiar with the job applicant. If he is a member of the National Federation or Association of IFUW, he can replace one of three men with the president of his Federation or Association
* A copy of the letter of acceptance by Japanese institutions in which the applicant proposes to conduct the study / research or other supporting documents
* Medical certificate of health
* Summary of published work (articles, theses, books up to three) in English.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION
For 2012-2013, 20 April 2012 - Deadline postmark.
The committee will not accept applications or supporting documents submitted after the deadline.
A completed application form with all necessary documents and materials must be enclosed in one envelope and sent (e-mail is not acceptable) to:
