University Doctoral Studentships, City University London, UK The city provides a number of fully funded, full-time, three-year Doctoral Scholarship for outstanding candidates as part of ongoing investment in academic achievement.

To get in on October 2012, we will offer up to 70 new Doctoral Scholarship.

Requirements
University Doctoral scholarships are available for both UK / EU and overseas fee-paying students who will study full time. They can be held in every school of the University.

Applicants are judged on excellence of their research or real potential and the quality of their research proposal. If you wish to be considered for the University Student you should discuss your proposal with the relevant School, Department or Centre to determine whether you can be supported.

What is offered
A Doctoral Studentship provides:

The annual scholarship (£ 15,500 in 2012/13 and is expected to increase in line with inflation in subsequent years);
full tuition fee waiver;
one-time allowance of £ 1,000 which can be used throughout a period of three years of fellowships to support research needs such as specialists, equipment training or conference meeting.

Continuation of the award after the first year subject to confirmation by the relevant School of satisfactory progress. Scholarship holders are usually expected to perform some form of support teaching activities as part of a scholarship arrangement. It is to be agreed with the school concerned. Training will be provided to support teaching activities.

The university provides extensive research and business development program to support the development of research skills.

Arts, Health Sciences, Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, Informatics, Social Science and Law: create an application for a research degree at City University London in the usual manner. In the section 'Financial' in the application form, indicating that you wish to be considered for University Doctoral Studentship.
Cass Business School: read the instructions and complete the online application form.

Application Deadline
The deadline for registration is a day Doctoral Student University Friday, March 9, 2012.

Applicants will be notified of the results in April 2012.
