DAAD Scholarships for Students from Developing Countries
MIPLC is part of the DAAD program of If you want to apply for scholarships offered in this context "Graduate Program for Professionals with Relevance to Developing Countries." Keep in mind that some special conditions apply. Please read the information provided here very carefully.
DAAD Scholarship Requirements
DISCLAIMER: The following information has been put together very carefully, but we can not guarantee its accuracy. DAAD scholarship please see the flyer for the latest information. Where MIPLC and DAAD have differing requirements, assume that the higher requirements would be applied.
If you want to apply for "Graduate Program for Professionals with Relevance to Developing Countries" DAAD scholarship, make sure that you meet the formal requirements of the following:
You are 36 years or younger;
You hold at least a four-year Bachelor's degree, complete with above-average results;
You receive your degree no more than six years ago;
You have at least two years of full-time professional experience;
English scores you are eligible MIPLC, ie IELTS Band 7.0 or TOEFL iBT 100 / CBT 250 / PBT 600. Institutional TOEFL scores will not be accepted.
Due to high volume applications, we have to apply very strict criteria. If you do not meet them, you will not be eligible for DAAD scholarships.
Application Procedure
To apply for this scholarship, please proceed as follows:
Please see flyer program DAAD 2013/14 (not available) and read the information carefully;
Determine whether you are eligible to apply for the DAAD and MIPLC standards;
Apply for admission to MIPLC by using our online application system, accessible below, and follow the instructions provided;
When you come to the end of the online application, check "I want to apply for financial aid" and "I want to apply for a DAAD scholarship" and complete the Application Form Financial Assistance MIPLC open automatically;
Print the form and add all the necessary documents, according to the instructions given;
Download and fill in the DAAD Scholarship Application Form and add other documents required by the DAAD (for details, see the brochure - NB: does not require an exposure MIPLC research);
Submit your complete application as described below.
Please send your application directly to MIPLC, unless you are from Cameroon, Myanmar, or Nigeria, in which case you should send your application via the German Embassy in your country.
Make sure that your file is complete with all documents mentioned above. If not, your application can not be processed. Your complete file should reach MIPLC the date specified below.
If You Have Questions Regarding the DAAD Application Form and Terms
Section 6, "The length of stay is planned in Germany": The date the beginning and end of the academic year 2013/14 has not been established. This program will probably start in early October 2013 and will end in mid-September 2014 (the date of the Master Thesis). Exact date will be announced in due course in our academic calendar.
MIPLC not need a "study description" (DAAD brochure, page 12). Therefore, you do not need (and do not have to) deliver such a description.
For other questions you might have regarding the DAAD Application Form (eg, "What should I include in the ...?"), Or the requirements of the DAAD (eg regarding the documents to be submitted according to this brochure DAAD), please contact the nearest DAAD office.
MIPLC can not answer any questions relating to the DAAD. MIPLC can only answer questions relating to their own requirements MIPLC it.
Information Processing
As a first step, all complete applications will be screened by MIPLC and processed for admission. All candidates will be informed by MIPLC whether or not they have recognized our LL.M. programs. If you can not claim MIPLC, DAAD scholarship applications will not be considered, either.
From the list of candidates admitted MIPLC will then compile a short list of candidates for DAAD scholarships. Once this list has been confirmed by the DAAD, all selected applicants must undergo a telephone interview.
The final decision on allocating located DAAD scholarship. The successful applicant (s) will be directly informed by the DAAD. All unsuccessful applicants will receive a communication from the MIPLC.
You have to learn about the outcome of your application by the end of February of the new year. In the meantime, please do not contact us or the DAAD to ask for status updates.
Special Application Deadlines
You must apply (more than) a year in advance.
The registration deadline is October 15. Your complete file with all necessary documents (including the value of your English language test) must reach MIPLC with this date. Late applications or incomplete information can not be considered.
Please send your documents in good time to ensure their timely arrival at the MIPLC. We are unfortunately not in a position to keep track of your files with the German postal service or courier service.
Applicants from Cameroon, Myanmar, or Nigeria should submit their application files to the German Embassy in their home countries. The deadline for applications such as for intake 2012/13 is July 31, 2011. Applications from Cameroon, Myanmar, Nigeria for the academic year or 2012/13 therefore can no longer be accepted.
