Bayer Young Environmental Envoy (byee) is a global environmental education program for youth organized by Bayer and the United Nations Environment Programme with the aim of developing young environmental leaders and increase the level of environmental awareness among the youth.

Requirements for admission
Indonesian citizen, college / students enrolled in institutions in Indonesia on 1 April 2012 (students graduating in April 2012 are eligible to join)
18 to 24 years-old by September 1, 2012
Actively involved in environmental activities and projects
Willing to travel abroad
Must be able to work well in a group
Both oral and written English communication skills

Bayer employee, agency or independent contractor involved in the project
Individuals or companies engaged in the production distribution of construction, or materials for the project
How to join
Quality of life that we experience today has been shaped by decisions made several years ago. It is important to strike a balance between the needs of the development of our civilization and the ability of natural resources to support this growth. We began to understand that land, forest, farmland, open space, water, and clean air is a resource that should be conserved and managed in a responsible manner. Sustainable environmental practices needed to meet current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Write individual proposals from a simple environmental project in your community or school to show that environmental protection and economic growth can go hand in hand.
Proposal Format
Abstract Part I of your proposal (in Indonesian)-max. 250 words Part II Project Proposal (in English)
Current situation and environment-related problems in your area or school. -Max. 250 words
Present practical solutions to problems that have been done either by the government / industry / NGO or school / community-max. 500 words
Your personal proposed project, including objectives and deliverables, which will help to solve the problem. -Max. 1500 words d. Resource needs, such as budget, manpower, facilities, and institutions / groups involved. Ensure that all necessary resources are in your reach. Compare the resources and costs with the benefits you expect to get. -Max. 1 page
Economic and environmental benefits of the project, and how your project reflects the practices of a sustainable environment. -Max. 250 words
If necessary, insert graphics, photos, charts or visual support that explains the process of solving the problem you are proposing.
Rule
Proposals should be developed in accordance with the format set out above, typing in Microsoft Word, Times New Roman 12pt, double spaced.
The proposal must not exceed 10 pages in total. Any relevant graphics, images, or diagrams should be included in the proposal, NOT in a separate file.
The project proposal that adaptation / upgrading an existing project can be accepted, but entries will be judged only on the basis of new elements are introduced and their added value.
Existing work or performance before the official start-up date will not be given any credit.
While the proposed project the applicant must own the concept, the project itself can be done by a number of people, by the applicant took an active role in its implementation.
Submission procedures
Copy / burn to a CD of your project proposal. No need to submit print-out of the proposal.
Completed application form, can fotocopied or printed from the website, and attach a 4 × 6 cm color of your own ID.
With the application form, attach the following personal documents (hard copy):
Certificate Cumulative GPA (GPA, minimum 2.5) from your institution.
Copies of identity cards (KTP / SIM).
Endorsement letter from a faculty member of the academic school OR college OR department head / dean of the university's academic vice president OR president OR.
Evidence of environmental awards (if any) received.
Judging and selection
Applicants will be selected based on the content of their projects, leadership and environmental knowledge and involvement.
A panel of judges will interview each candidate elected to determine intelligence and understanding of environmental issues, communication and people skills, as well as the feasibility of their project proposals.
Successful applicants who qualify for the final round will be asked to attend the workshop who live in the neighborhood called the Eco-Camp byee.
Successful finalists must execute each project starting on June 1, 2012. A premature start-up of the proposed project will be ground for disqualification. This project must be completed or nearing completion in September July 6, 2012.
All costs for travel, accommodation, and maintenance of the interviewee and the Eco-Camp participants will be shouldered by PT Bayer Indonesia.
At the end of the Eco-Camp, the finalists will be asked to make presentations before other judges. They will be given the official title of Bayer Environmental Youth Ambassadors at the ceremony.
Two finalists will be declared the second Bayer Young Environmental Envoy Top and will be given the opportunity to participate in a study trip for a week all expenses paid to Germany on 4 -, 9 2012.
The jury's decision is final for all aspects of the competition.
