Eligible candidates

1. MS
* Students who hold, or bachelor's degrees are expected to complete their bachelor, s degrees in February, 2012
* Students who hold degrees equivalent to or higher than the bachelor who have been approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology
2. PhD
* Students who hold, or master's degrees are expected to complete their master, s degrees in February, 2012
* Students who hold degrees equivalent to or higher than the master that are approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology

Application Documents

* Application Form: Online submission
* Personal Statement and Study Plan: Submission Online (You can choose your language. English or Korean Also, it is available to write in English and Korean)
* Official Academic Transcript: attached PDF presentation online
* Degree Certificate (completed or to be completed): PDF presentation attached to the Internet
* Results English Test (optional): PDF attached to online submission. TOEIC, TOEFL IBT, TOEFL CBT, PBT TOEFL, IELTS, or baking pan
* Letter of Recommendation (optional): Direct delivery of recommender via e-mail. There is no limit to the number of letter
* Application fee: Pay online filing (KRW 80,000 / U.S. $ 80)

The review process

Evaluation is based on application documents

* Estimate based on application documents assessing the ability of academic potential in school under former college / university's transcript, personal statement and plan of study, and test scores in English.
* Interviews (only for students who passed the assessment documents) Assessment of basic knowledge in the field of study, enthusiasm for research, the potential ability to be one, scholar communication capability, etc., through individual interviews and / or group. More details are determined by each department.

Content from the Department Interview

Brain Science

* Introduction to English PowerPoint presentation up to 10 minutes (slides 5-10) in connection with research experience or research topics of interest to applicants
* Personal Essay (Topic: What would I be doing after 10 years from now) Presentation of motivation and interest on a suggested topic
Interactive Discussion * Candidates will be asked to take part in a scientific discussion as a small group and give a 15 minute presentation.

Robotics Engineering

* Questions on basic knowledge of robotics related subjects or courses, enthusiasm for research, the potential ability to be a scholar, communication ability, etc. in English and Korean
* A brief presentation in English to power research experience, and point week, service, etc. for about 5 ~ 10 minutes and 10 ~ 20 minutes for MS and PhD respectively.

Information & Communication Engineering

* Oral examination on the merits and applications of information and communication, computer, electronics, attitude, personality, and vision as an engineer.
* Presentation English of up to 10 minutes (5 slides) for an important concept you learned in your basic courses for undergraduate degree applicants MS, and this is about the future of your PhD research doctoral degree applicants. Assume that you will explain this new concept undergraduate / masters level graduate students, not members of the committee interview.

Energy Systems Engineering

* Questions and specialized knowledge bases for the implementation of energy systems such as Engineering Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Thermodynamics and transfer phenomena, according to applicant's background specialty, and on, culture and vision engineering student's personality.

Documents to be submitted

* Confirmation of Admission (prescribed form)
* Resident Registration Form (Foreigners must present proof of identification, such as a copy of permanent residence, citizenship or passport).
* Official academic transcript
* Degree certificate
* Test results in English (Students who submitted only)
* Certificate of physical examination

Guidelines

* Accepted students must complete registration by submitting the required documents within the period announced DGIST. Otherwise, admission is canceled.
* Submitted documents will not be returned. If any information submitted is not true, acceptance may be canceled after registration.

Scholarship
Tuition fees: full scholarship will be provided

Incentives for Education and Research

* PhD degree candidate: ₩ 12,000,000 + a / y
* MS degree candidate: 7,200,000 KRW + a / y

Dormitory
Boarding will be provided. (Small service fee will be charged)

International Exchanges

* The possibility of training at Johns Hopkins University (USA), ETH Zurich (Switzerland), etc. will be offered.
* Opportunities for participation in various international conferences held in USA, Europe, Asia, etc.

Replacing Military Service
Replacement of military service can be given to PhD students

Government Research Project

* Participation in DGIST research project is available.
* Participation in various projects in connection with KBRI (Korean Brain Research Institute) and the United DUP-Campus (DGIST-UNIS-POSTECH) is available.

This blog aware me about different programs which can become very useful for our friends and kids. Few websites provide combined courses and few of the are separately for single subject. Glad to get this information.
