PhD scholarship is available immediately at the lab of Dr. Volodymyr Dvornyk, School of Biological Sciences, University of Hong Kong.
Field of study
The PhD candidate will work in the area of epidemiology (including genetic epidemiology) of reproductive health.
Eligibility
MS degree in biology, bioinformatics or related field. Fluency in English (TOEFL certificate is required for candidates from universities with non-English language of instruction). Details about official procedure are available here: http://www.hku.hk/gradsch/web/apply/.
Requirements for the candidate
The candidate is expected to be a motivated person with strong commitment to research work. She/he should demonstrate:
-Academic excellence;
-Research ability and potential;
-Responsibility and creativity;
-Knowledge of statistical methods (genetic association and linkage analysis, meta-analysis, etc.).
-Communication, and interpersonal skills;
-Leadership abilities.
