PhD Scholarship in Nanoelectronics and IC Design, the University of Melbourne, Australia- NICTA PhD Scholarships in Nanoelectronics and IC design
Applications are invited for full-time scholarship of research, leading to a PhD, in one of the following areas:
* Development of Analog / RF / Mixed-signal integrated circuits and systems such as data converters, and PLL / DLL in state-of-the-art CMOS technology.
* Modeling and development of nano-transistors and nano-devices.
The successful applicants will become part of a research group with access to industry standard software and testing facilities. The objective of this research is to develop the building blocks for future ultra-high-data-rate communication systems. The successful candidate will be incorporated into the 3-year PhD program in the department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics, University of Melbourne, VIC, Australia. The research will be conducted in cooperation with the National ICT Australia (NICTA), and other national and international research institutions. Previous experience in one area, for example in the form of MSc thesis, as desired. National or International applicants with interest in high speed analog circuits, RFIC design, low power circuit design, or nanoelectronics strongly encouraged to apply.
