The Francis Eira Davies Scholarship, which will be given from time to time by the Senate on the basis of academic achievement and / or financial need and who will contribute to the cost of tuition, must be maintained for a period of time as determined by the Senate and shall be subject to satisfactory academic progress and Other terms and conditions that define the University.

Requirements:
Candidates must be new, full-time, degree seeking, non-EU applicants
Candidates must have completed an application to learn and accept the offer of a place at Swansea University
Candidates must demonstrate strong academic ability and financial need
Candidates should not qualify for other financial support from Swansea University such as reduced tuition fees or scholarships through the collaborative link

Terms and Conditions
Applicants must be from a designated list of non-EU countries that would qualify.
Swansea University employees will not be eligible to apply.
Scholarships will be used to offset the cost of tuition for a degree or course subject to satisfactory academic progress.
Awards are available to all undergraduate degree programs, taught Master's degree, including MBA, full Legal Practice Course (taught entirely at Swansea University) and Graduate Diploma in Law. The research program are not eligible (MRes, MPhil, PhD, EngD).
For undergraduate programs, applicants are expected to achieve 3 A's at A-Level or equivalent (excluding General Studies) and 5 A or an A * at GCSE level or equivalent. For Taught Postgraduate courses, applicants must have a First Class degree (or equivalent). In the case of all applicants, their English must meet the conditions specified and bid requirements UKBA.
Applicants must enroll in courses at Swansea University are eligible for the first time in September 2012.
Applicants must have completed an application for a place to study at Swansea University, and has received and accepted an offer of a place.
Applicants must be privately funded. This award can not be taken in conjunction with other scholarships or fellowships awarded both internally and externally.
Applicants who are not eligible to hold other awards such as scholarships Swansea University, the country of origin or sponsorship.
Awards are available for full-time study only.
Closing date for receipt of completed scholarship application is May 1, 2012.
Successful applicants will be informed by 1 September 2012 and reduced tuition fees will be charged at the time of registration.
Awards are not transferable.
International Scholarship Committee may use whatever means it deems most appropriate assessment in order to determine viable candidates for recommendation to the scholarship.
After receiving the award, scholarship recipients can not withdraw from the course except in exceptional circumstances and subject to the approval of the College Headof relevant. Failure to comply with this regulation may make students liable to pay to the University any awards that have been made in whole or in part as determined by the International Scholarship Committee. If deemed necessary for scholarship holders to suspend their studies, the scholarship will be held on the university's account and carried forward for the resumption of years of study and candidates will be expected to pay their personal contributions on a pro-rata. If, in view of the appropriate Head of College, progress is deemed unsatisfactory scholarship holders, scholarship can be withdrawn. Scholarships can also be drawn on the basis of failure to meet one of the conditions attached to the Award. Candidates may be required to pay back to the University any awards that have been made, either in whole or in part, as determined by the Committee. If the scholar feels that withdrawal is justified s / he may appeal in writing to the Head of International Development Office within 15 working days from the date of notification.
International Development Office reserves the right to create, modify, withdraw, suspend or cancel without notice these and other regulations as may apply from time to time and such decision shall be final. We believe the scholarship requirements are in accordance with current legislation and the right to make changes to ensure that it does.
Scholarship holders, after receiving the award, which is quite expected to cooperate in recruitment activities Swansea University and automatically agree to their name and details released by the Office of International Development and the Department of University Marketing for marketing purposes.
