Both versions of the applications available in January, links to online applications will be e-mailed to the student auditions. Students must submit only one version of the application. We encourage students to submit electronically.

Send us a signed copy of your most recent and the shape of your parents' federal tax. If you are not required to file, submit a signed statement to that effect and include W2 or 1099 forms received. If you live in a country with no tax forms, send documents from your employer's official salary.

When should I start the process of financial aid application?
All applications must be complete by March 1. This means you should prepare your tax information in February, if possible. Complainant must submit a FAFSA PIN (www.pin.gov) and file FAFSA a few weeks before the March 1 deadline to ensure timely processing by the Department of Education.

What if I do not have my tax information is available by March 1?
You can use the estimates on the FAFSA and submit your prior year tax forms for scholarship consideration. We encourage families to complete their taxes early to speed up the process of applying for aid. If you give us an estimated document, please submit the latest information as soon as possible to receive accurate financial aid package award.

What is the federal School Juilliard School Code for FAFSA?
Juilliard School Federal School Code is 002742.

Am I eligible for the scholarship?
Scholarship decisions are made based on financial need and artistic value. Therefore, eligibility is not determined until the completion and acceptance procedures of all forms of financial aid received.

Are international students eligible for financial aid?
Yes. Although international students who studied under F1 visa status are not eligible for U.S. government assistance, they can apply for a scholarship at Juilliard and the campus. If your visa status is different, you should check with the advice of the International Office for any work restrictions.

What can I do to ensure that I receive enough financial aid?
Fill out the form accurately and timely, and contact the Financial Aid Office if you have any questions. We also encourage you to look for scholarship programs offered by your high private school and local community or religious organizations. A list of helpful online scholarship database can be found at www.finaid.org. You should research this thoroughly, especially during the years of junior and senior high school.

I do not think I would qualify for aid based on financial need. Can I apply for a scholarship achievement?
Due to the high school level of selectivity, achievement-only scholarships are not offered. All forms of financial assistance must be submitted on time in order to be considered for scholarship support.

I am applying to graduate programs; do I need to send my parents' financial information as well as my own?
Yes. Funds are limited and partial scholarships based on need, so that your family's financial strength is an important consideration regardless of whether they will provide direct support to you during your graduate studies.

To apply for financial aid, you must include a copy of your parents' most recent tax unless you meet one of the following criteria:

You will be more than 24 years old at the time of enrollment
You have completely self-supporting during the previous academic year and not claimed on the most recent tax form your parents, or
You register with a program that offers a full tuition scholarship to all accepted students.

Can I expect the same award financial aid every year?
Students must reapply for financial aid each year. Juilliard scholarship will generally stay in the same amount, awaiting the availability of funds. Federal aid, such as Stafford loans and Pell grants, based on prior year tax information and forms are subject to change. Stafford loans will increase the feasibility based on grade level. Finally, because some forms of aid are limited, such as Perkins loans and FSEOG grants, applicants who are late may be denied funding. Students with unusual changes in financial situation may file an appeal for additional assistance.

What if I do not award as much as I need to attend school?
Juilliard School does its best to offer students a competitive award based on their achievements and needs. However, we understand that your initial award may not be enough, because our budget does not allow us to meet the full financial needs of all students admitted. If your current award makes it impossible to register, please contact us for additional help. Although we can not guarantee to increase your scholarship offer, your appeal will be given every consideration.

My financial situation is a little unusual and I have concerns. What should I do?
