The University of Sydney takes great pleasure in announcing the Sydney International Scholarships for international students at the University started in 2012.

This scholarship scholarships aim to attract high-achieving, academically meritorious international students to enjoy the 'experience of Sydney in one of the best higher education institutions in the world.

SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL outstanding scholarship (DEGREE)
Benefit
30 scholarships amounting to AUD $ 10,000 per year, available for a maximum of three years, (total value of AUD $ 30,000) for undergraduate programs offered at the University of Sydney (depending on the recipient maintains satisfactory academic progress each year).

No living allowance is paid.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have completed 12 years qualifying Australian or international senior secondary qualifications are accepted by the University with a rating Tertiary Admission Australia (Atar) of at least 98 * or equivalent.

Students who have started tertiary study, or students with transfer credit exemption and / or advanced standing are not eligible. Students completing the Foundation Studies Program is also not eligible.

SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL outstanding scholarship (POSTGRADUATE)
Benefit
30 scholarships amounting to AUD $ 10,000, is available as a one-time awards (total value of AUD $ 10,000) for the program Graduate Courses are offered at the University of Sydney.

No living allowance is paid.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have completed a qualification equivalent to Australian Bachelor's degree with an average minimum height difference due to the scoring system is based on Australia. Students who have started graduate study, or students transferring from other graduate programs are not eligible.

Application Procedure
No separate application is required for scholarships. A Registration Application to the University of Sydney in 2012 will constitute an application for a scholarship. All applications that meet the selection criteria and eligibility will be automatically considered.

The deadline for receipt of applications and supporting documentation are complete (the results of academic language and English proficiency) is October 31, 2011 for Semester 1, 2012, and 30 April 2012 (Semester 2, 2012). Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.

Selection Criteria
Selection will be based strictly on academic achievement according to the University entrance requirements. Selection will be based on actual results (academic language skills and English). Results / forecasts predict will not be considered.

Only applicants with the company, entered an unconditional offer will be considered.

Selection will be conducted by the University Scholarship Selection Committee, which will be the final decision. No appeals will be entertained.

Successful candidates will be notified in December 2011 (Semester 1, 2012) and June 2012 (Semester 2. In 2012). Successful candidates will apply through the UAC informed in January 2012.

Condition
Undergraduate scholarship recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress, which, for the purpose of maintaining a scholarship, defined as maintaining an average credit (at least 65%) or more each year. Failure to do so can lead to scholarships that are being discontinued.

Successful candidates:

not be in receipt of any other college scholarship;
have started research in 2012 - the start can not be deferred;
will be required to pay their own airfare to Sydney, the cost of living, learning materials, textbooks, any additional costs (if any) and the Overseas Student Health Cover each year;
also responsible for paying the balance of tuition fees each year;
required to enroll as full-time international students and international students must maintain their status as full-time throughout their enrollment at the University of Sydney, and
may not be entitled to 'leave' for the duration of the scholarship, except for mitigating circumstances.

The University of Sydney reserves the right to make changes to the scholarship program without notice and at its discretion.
