Edith Cowan University International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (ECU-IPRS)

Description ECU-funded international research scholarships are open to international students of exceptional research potential preparing to be enrolled fulltime in a Doctor of Philosophy or Master by Research. The scholarships offer an opportunity for international students to obtain a postgraduate qualification and gain experience with leading Australian researchers. The scholarship program is funded by ECU and awarded by the university to outstanding international postgraduate students to support Australia’s research effort. For more information, visit http://intranet.ecu.edu.au/student/moneymatters/scholarships/ecuscholarships Duration and Value Duration: 3.0 years Annual value: $A 25,000.00 Total value: $A 75,000.00 Extra Details: The scholarships cover the tuition fees at the university and health insurance premiums for the student and his/her dependants. The scholarships also provide a living allowance, currently $25,000 per year tax-free (2010 rate). The scholarships are tenable for a period of 2 years for a Master by Research degree or 3 years for a Doctorate by Research degree. Important Dates Application closing date: 31 August Eligibility criteria General information The scholarships are open to international students of all countries (except New Zealand). Applicants must hold a qualification equivalent to an Australian first class honours degree or Australian Master by Research. Lesser qualifications will only be considered where significant research output and experience can be demonstrated. Applicants must also meet ECU’s English entry requirements.
