Welcome! The Horatio Alger Association is pleased to be accepting applications from high school seniors of the Class of 2012 for the 2012 Horatio Alger Ontario Scholarship Program.

The eligibility criteria to be considered for the Horatio Alger Ontario Scholarship Program are as follows:

enrollment full time as a high school senior and taking classes during Spring 2012, progressing normally toward graduation in the Spring/Summer 2012, with plans to enter a college or university no later than the fall following graduation;
a strong commitment to pursuing and completing a degree at an accredited public or private college or university in Canada
critical financial need ($50,000 or less net income per family is preferred, if higher explanation must be provided);
involvement in co-curricular and community activities;
a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0;
attend a high school and live in Ontario, Canada; and
Canadian citizenship.


How to Apply

To apply for the Horatio Alger Ontario Scholarship Program, the following items must be completed by

October 30, 2011:

Online application.
A certifications form completed by the applicant’s high school (instructions are available for the applicant online).
An official high school transcript with legend
An online letter of support on the applicant’s behalf (instructions are available for the applicant online).
A copy of only the front page of the applicant’s parent/guardian’s 2010 Notice of Assessment Form (T452 E).
