International Master in Quaternary and Prehistory (IMQP), Erasmus Mundus - International Master in Quaternary and Prehistory (IMQP) lasted two years. It is formed from a partnership of six HEIs with a multi-year research experience in prehistoric and formation: Università degli Studi in Ferrara (Italy, coordinator), Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle (France, partners), Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Spain, partners), Instituto Politecnico of Tomar (Portugal, partners), Universidade de Tras-os-Montes and Alto Douro (Portugal, partners) and the University of the Philippines Diliman (Philippines, partners).
The main subject of IMQP education programs are as follows: prehistory, anthropology, human paleontology, chronology, the evolution of fauna and flora, and Quaternary geology archaeometry. The main objective of the Master is to provide vital knowledge on Prehistory and Quaternary geology by adopting an interdisciplinary approach and utilize the scientific specialization of each partner institution.
The main award IMQP a joint degree signed by all partner institutions (UNIFE, URV, MNHN, IPT & UTAD). Students can also ask for the national level provided by the institution hosting the first. Official language of the joint Italian and French.
Acceptance criteria
For all partner institutions the same procedure for application and selection criteria for admission to the Master Degree will apply. Students from at least 3 years of university courses is acceptable. This course should be legally recognized by a university degree or similar qualifications in archeology, literature, prehistory, paleontology, Quaternary geology `s, natural and environmental sciences, biology and geology, technology and cultural heritage preservation, tourism and science education.
Partner institutions involved in the recognition of the degree of `Third Countries candidates in accordance with applicable rules. Selection and application, which is performed at each partner institution `s with the procedures agreed, which consequently is recognized by the other participants to the Master Degree.
Students are selected by the partner University will be accepted into a Master's degree at the University of origin and at the University of Ferrara, the administrative center of the course.The application forms for scholarships for third country students are published on this site 4 months before the closing date of the call.
Erasmus Mundus (Quaternary and Prehistory - IMQP) Scholarship
Scholarships will be awarded as follows:
Category A - no. Six master scholarships are awarded to students selected by EMMC consortia who come from a country other than a qualified applicant countries and non-residents also do not perform their main activities (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in one of these countries. No. 1 master's scholarships are awarded to students selected by EMMC consortia originating from the Western Balkans and Turkey.
Category B - no. 4 scholarships are awarded to every student masters selected by EMMC consortia and which do not meet the criteria for Category A is defined above.
Category A scholarship can be awarded to masters students selected by EMMC consortia who come from a country other than a qualified applicant countries and non-residents also do not perform their main activities (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months for five years last in one of these countries.
Category B scholarships can be awarded to any student master selected by EMMC consortia and which do not meet the criteria for Category A is defined above.
