European Master In Software Engineering Scholarships in Italy, Sweden & Germany

Consortium of Bozen-Bolzano Free University (Italy), Blekinge Tekniska Högskola (Sweden), and the Technische Universität Kaiserslautern (Germany) offers two years (120 ECTS credits) Joint Master's Programme, named European Master in Software Engineering (EMSE).

The purpose of the Master Program is to educate professionals in the field of Software Engineering. Software engineering lead to the creation of high quality software in a systematic, controlled, and efficient. The participants will be able to establish and use sound engineering principles and practices in order to obtain economically software that is reliable and works on real machines.

The program predicts the mobility in two different universities of the Consortium.

MASTER'S PROGRAM
The purpose of the Master Program is to educate professionals in the field of Software Engineering. Software engineering lead to the creation of high quality software in a systematic, controlled, and efficient.

This area covers a variety of core topics, such as process management software verification and validation, design, and engineering requirements, and the pool of specialties such as software quality, and developing distributed systems, open source software and agile methods.

Program Structure
The curriculum consists of core topics, specialization, project and thesis. The students will be incorporated into a curriculum that involves a consortium of two universities.

Students will spend one year at one university (the "first university"), and one year at another university ("the University"). Project and thesis work will be performed at both the university and will be jointly monitored and evaluated by two professors, one from each university.

Begin to run
The term begins between August to September depending on the university's first rule.

Learning outcomes
EMSE aims to train students in new research domains that shape the future of Software Engineering. It prepares students to work in such a cross-disciplinary fields and / or to continue their studies in a PhD program.

After completing his studies EMSE students will have the expertise, competence and professionalism related to software and quality management, innovation and creativity, the software process and product standards, social and economic markets of IT, and teamwork of students will also achieve expertise in placing his / her knowledge into practice by taking part in projects and / or industrial placement of students in the scheme.

In addition, students will gain practical project management skills, necessary for the effective application of knowledge gained.

International dimension Master course ensures that students familiarize themselves with the different methods of education and multicultural education through immersion in two different European universities and two different countries.

Language
All courses are taught in English. Students will also undertake courses on culture and language of the European countries from the two universities. Free local language courses for students EMSE.

Graduation thesis
Work towards the thesis will be conducted in two universities will jointly monitored and evaluated by two professors, one from each university visited.

MASTER'S DEGREE
After successfully completing the curriculum and fulfillment of the Master course requirements, students will be awarded a double degree, one for each university that they have visited. Degrees awarded are:

Master of Science in Computer Science (Laurea Magistrale) from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano or
Master of Science in Software Engineering from Blekinge Tekniska Högskola or
Master of Science in Computer Science from the Technische Universität Kaiserslautern

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS AND SELECTION CRITERIA
Students accepted in the program, regardless of sex, age, or nationality. To be accepted all students must meet the following requirements:

Respect the deadline
Provide evidence of proficiency in English. TOEFL (> 550 (paper based),> 213 (computer based), or> 81 (internet based)), IELTS (> 6.0) or equivalent certificate. Only applicants who are Nationals and / or first-degree-holders of Antigua & Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, English-speaking Canada, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, Republic of Ireland, Jamaica, Kiribati, Liberia, Mauritius, Micronesia, New Zealand , Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, St Kitts-Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Trinidad & Tobago, UK, USA, Zambia or Zimbabwe do not have to submit language certificates. The consortium may request a personal interview to further assess the English level of students.
Has been awarded a BSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Computer engineering.
Provide a certificate of subjects taken during their degrees, along with signs obtained and the number of hours / credits are intended for each subject

COURSE FEE
Tuition for the academic year 2012-2013 is € 3800 to NON-EU students and € 2,250 for EU students. On top of tuition and depending on the university, students will pay the social tax (if any, about 130 Euro per year). Students will be given access to the facilities of the participating universities (library, computer labs, wi-fi, internet, alumni association, university sports associations).

SCHOLARSHIP
For the course 2012-2014 to 6 scholarships will be offered to the EU and NON-EU students. Among the scholarship of up to 2 are reserved for NON-EU students visited the Free University Bozen-Bolzano (FUB) and the Technische Universität Kaiserslautern (TU-KL), up to 2 are reserved for university students visit the European Union free-Bozen Bolzano (FUB) and the Technische Universität Kaiserslautern (TU-KL), and up to 2 are reserved for students who visit the European Union Tekniska Högskola Blekinge (BTH) in the first year.

European Union: the applicants who are residents of countries within the European Union and European Economic Area / European Free Trade Association (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway)

NON-EU: all applicants are not in the category of the European Union.

The grant covers the cost of education and social taxes (if any, about 130 Euro per year). Grant rate may be taxed depending on each university regulations.

In the application, students must determine the type of grant (I, II, III, or IV). Students can not apply more than one type of grant. Each type of grant will have its own ranking which also includes a reserve list. Students in the reserve list may be offered to the types of grants if available. Students selected for the type of grant can not change the two university purposes.

Applicants will be notified of admissions decisions and whether they will be offered a scholarship. Enrollment procedures and visa procedures will also be started after receipt of registration and payment of deposits. Additional documents may be required.

The applicant will be asked to fill out a form online and to provide the following documents in electronic form.

Required documents

A copy / photocopy of the applicant's passport (or identity card for EU applicants). Only the pages with photos and personal data.
Copies / photocopies of IELTS, TOEFL, or CAE certificate (no more than 2008).
Copies / photocopies of all certificates of academic degrees (ie Bachelor or equivalent, Masters or equivalent) or other graduate degrees / academic qualifications. If the degree is not in English, German, or Italian, English translations are required, made by an official translator or a university recognized you.
Copies / photocopies of all official transcripts or official academic records that give evidence of higher education studies (ie Bachelor, Master, etc.) including credits and grades achieved in each single subject. Snapshots university website will not be accepted.
