United Nations University ISP - Master of Science in Sustainability, Development, and Peace Scholarships
United Nations University ISP - Master of Science in Sustainability, Development, and Peace Scholarships
The programme addresses pressing global issues of sustainability, climate change, development, peacebuilding, and human rights through an innovative interdisciplinary approach that integrates the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. The programme is intended for recent graduates, professionals, and practitioners, offering the unique opportunity to study at a global university within the framework of the United Nations. It provides students with the knowledge and skills to make important contributions towards solving global issues, whether through employment by UN agencies, other international organizations, governments, civil society, or the private sector.
In addition to providing a comprehensive curriculum, the programme offers opportunities to gain practical experience through internships or field research with a UN agency or other international organizations. Current researchers and faculty manage international joint research projects in many countries, and some opportunities are awarded to students who have high academic achievement and show strong interest. Our active research projects can be reviewed here http://isp.unu.edu/research/active/index_theme.html
A limited number of scholarships (covering tuition fees and living costs) are available for outstanding applicants from developing countries who can demonstrate a need for financial assistance.
Application deadline is 30th April 2012 for the programme that will begin September 2012.
