National University of Ireland Maynooth (NUIM) in Ireland, University of St Andrews (Usta) in Scotland, and Université Henri Poincaré Nancy (UHP) in France which offers dual two-year Master's program, named Erasmus Mundus MSc dependable Systems Software (Desem).

Course Objectives:
Our goal is to provide students with an understanding of the knowledge, skills and technical depth of the key concepts necessary to design and build reliable software systems. This will be achieved by bringing together theory and practice of software development and, in particular, through the transfer of knowledge from the classroom through research and commercial projects are encouraged relevant.

Degree Description:
Will double the level achieved during the two years, through the allocation 120ECTS. Students will study at two of the three partner universities, reaching a degree from each university where they reach 60ECTS.

Diplome de Master (Specify Informatique) (UHP).

A student will achieve double Erasmus Mundus MSc in Dependable Systems Software, through the award of two degrees above.

Acceptance Criteria:
The following criteria must be met by students applying for Erasmus Mundus MSc in Software Systems relied upon:

An honors degree in Computer Science or related discipline with an average value of 60% (equivalent to B, II.1, or assez bien) or above. Extensive industry experience may be considered as equivalent to academic qualifications although applicants will usually be subject to interviews by the consortium.
The English-language certificate (for non-native English speakers only). Because the language of instruction is mainly English, students whose first language is not English must provide evidence of a minimum knowledge of English such as certificates (> = 6.5) IELTS or equivalent.
French-Language certificate (for non-native speakers of French only, who intend to study in France). Because the language of instruction at L'Universite Henri Poincare, Nancy is a mixture of French and English, students whose first language is not French must provide proof of a minimum knowledge of French as Diplome de langue française Approfondi certificate (DALF) or equivalent. Students who choose to study in France in the second year they will have the option to meet this requirement through a program offered by the consortium during the first year course.

On the application students must demonstrate their mobility preferences. Students will spend one year at one university followed by one year at another university. The combination of mobility allowed is presented in Figure 2.1. All students must be accepted, through the coordination of agency programs; National University of Ireland, Maynooth. Institution where a student lives at a time will be referred to as the institutions 'host'. At each time point, each student must be associated with a host institution, which may or may not be a coordination agency. During the duration of the program, each student should be associated with two of the three Institutions.

AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP

Category A scholarships

Contribution to travel, installation and other types of cost: 4 € 000 for one year EMMCs; € 8,000 for courses longer than one year
Maximum contribution to EMMC participation costs (including insurance): € 4,000 / semester
Monthly allowance: € 1,000 / month

Category B scholarship

Maximum contribution to EMMC participation costs (including insurance): € 2,000 / semester
Monthly allowance: 500 € / month
Monthly benefit amount is calculated from the beginning to the end of the course and include, if applicable, the summer break between the two academic years. Monthly benefit amount may be increased in order to help cover additional costs of students with special needs; EMMCs concerned must inform the Agency accordingly within the context of their annual student scholarship application.

Scholar Scholarship:
Living allowance (including travel costs): € 1,200 / week for at least 2 weeks duration and maximum duration of 3 months for each degree

"Participation Fee" must be understood as any administrative costs / operations shall be related to student participation in the EMMC (eg library, laboratories, schools, social security and insurance costs, etc.). Any other costs imposed on the side (eg for participation in field activities), it becomes mandatory or voluntary, must be communicated to prospective students at the application stage.

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA REQUIREMENTS:
Prospective Students:

Only candidates who have applied to and been accepted by an EMMC consortium in accordance with a specific student application and selection criteria, are eligible for scholarships.
Students can apply for Erasmus Mundus scholarships for the program Erasmus Mundus Action 1 joint (EMMC) of their choice, but the number of such applications should be limited to a maximum of three different joint programs (EMMC and EMJD together).
Each project can lead to the award of only one European Union grant for each student for the same course during the long joints of the program concerned.
In order to make the program more attractive to third country nationals, the number of full-study scholarships will be higher for third-country master students (Category A scholarships) than for European master students (Category B scholarships). More specifically:
Category A scholarship can be awarded to third-country master students selected by EMMC consortia who come from countries other than European countries and who are not residents also do not perform their main activities (studies, training or work) for more than a total of 12 months for five years last in one of the country (five-year period of rule 12-month reference counting backwards from the deadline for submission of applications by category A consortium of EM for the Agency).
Category B scholarships can be awarded to students selected by a consortium of European masters EMMC and every student masters selected by EMMC consortia that do not meet the criteria for Category A is defined above.

Students meet the eligibility criteria for both categories A and B - for example, students with dual citizenship - must select category of their choice. As a result, they have the right only applies to one of two categories of scholarships at a time.

Scholarship candidates must have obtained the first higher education degree or demonstrate equivalent level of learning that is recognized by law and national practice. Candidates who only get their first higher education degree at the end of the previous academic year in question by the scholarship application can still apply for a scholarship and was chosen by the consortium in question, provided that they obtain a degree is required prior to the beginning of the relevant edition of the master course.
Individuals who have benefited from EMMC scholarship are not eligible for a second scholarship to follow the same or another EMMC.
Students benefit from EMMC scholarship can not benefit from other EU grants, while they pursue Erasmus Mundus master's studies.
EMMC students scholarships are awarded exclusively to full-time registration in one edition only.

Scholar Candidates:
EMMC scholarships will be awarded to scholars of Europe and third countries in accordance with the following criteria:

Scholarships can be awarded to an undergraduate enrolled in any third-country HEI to be selected by EMMC consortium to contribute to the joint program of the European partner institutions;
If a consortium including the three partner countries (either as a full partner or partners), the scholarship can be awarded to an undergraduate enrolled in a European HEI act as a full partner institutions for the purpose of contributing to the program together in this (/ these) third-country partner (s) .
EMMC scholars must demonstrate academic experience and / or professionals who are exceptional and bring value-added concrete for delivery the EMMC.
Only candidates who have been accepted by an EMMC in accordance with specific criteria for selection of scholars' are eligible for scholarships.

EMMC scholars holding the Erasmus Mundus scholarship must:

Committed to actively participate in the activities of the master study program;
Spend a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of three months in partner HEIs;
Conduct teaching / research / student tutoring activities:
European partners in HEIs (for scholars from a third country HEIs),
third-country HEIs in full or associated partners (for scholars from European partner HEIs);
Bring value-added concrete to the course and students (through teaching a specific class, leading and participating in seminars or workshops, monitoring and guidance of student research / project activities, participate in a review of the thesis, preparing new teaching modules, etc.);
Contributions, after visiting their undergraduate activities, for the promotion and dissemination of the Erasmus Mundus Program in general, and the EMMC concerned in particular, in their HEI and country of origin.

Basic criteria for selection of scholarship recipients:
Without prejudice to high academic standards, in order to ensure geographic diversity among students / scholars, EMMC consortia shall respect the following basic criteria when selecting students / scholars to Erasmus Mundus scholarships:

- No more than two students are selected for an EMMC scholarship must have the same nationality.
- The number of scholarships awarded to graduates of the same HEI should include a maximum duration of 3 months (the equivalent of 6 scholarships of 2 weeks).
- No degree can be awarded scholarships to more than 3 months (ie up to 6 scholarships of 2 weeks)

Third-Country Scholars in Desem:
In order to support delivery of the program, each institution will agree to choose at least one external students enter doctoral academic or external, as Scholar 'Erasmus Mundus'. Erasmus Mundus scholarship must provide instruction and related assistance, as appropriate, for the delivery of the program in at least one institution that they visited during their scholarship.

Scholars may also be involved in teaching at summer schools and assist in the evaluation of student work projects, the overall program evaluation and quality assurance. Each scholar will be offered the opportunity to visit other institutions and facilities such as office space will be available.

Scholars will demonstrate their mobility preferences on the application and will be tailored to the institution (s) that best suits your academic and professional experience. The couple will be done in consultation with the applicant's degree of mobility to ensure that the optimal arrangement is reached.
